The song Bad Friend, performed by Rina Sawayama details the falling out of a friendship and the singer’s recounting of their own faults and self-sabotaging tendencies that caused the ending of this friendship leaving feelings of emptiness, sadness, and regret.
The song’s nostalgic feel, paired with the backstory of memories in Tokyo inspired the digital graphics resembling those of neon signs and signboards in the crowded squares in Tokyo.
